The National Association of Realtors unveiled Realtor Own It Coins at the recent 2018 NAR Leadership Summit and the Committee Leadership Camp in Chicago. Incoming local, state and national Realtor leaders and association executives were presented with Own It Coins in appreciation for their commitment to serve their fellow Realtors and their willingness to lead associations.
Own It Coins celebrate Realtors’ “Own It Spirit.” When taking ownership of their associations, change happens and as they bring their unique gifts and insights to the table, their organization evolves.
As a token of gratitude for her service, Dot Rhone, broker/owner of Century 21 Covered Bridges Realty Inc. of Bloomsburg and District 7 Vice President of the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors (PAR), was honored to receive an Own It Coin from her local association executive, Barbara Hamilton. Recipients are instructed to regift the coin and to pay it forward to another deserving Realtor who embodies the Own It Spirit. The purpose is to recognize those Realtors with Own It Spirit who are dedicated and committed to the Realtor organization, which in turn benefits consumers.
“I am completely committed to my clients, my company and my industry, and I thoroughly enjoy all the time and energy that is well spent contributing to the success and advancement of our association which, in turn, is for the benefit of everyone,” exclaimed Rhone. “To be recognized for my dedication is just icing on the cake.”
Rhone has been contemplating her selection of a deserving Realtor of her coin.
The line officers of the PAR released their committee appointments for 2018, and Rhone has accepted the following posts to serve at the state level as a member of the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Member Services Coordinating Committee and Professional Standards Committee. She will also assume the leadership role as District Vice President (the last year of her second term for a total of four years), Standard Forms Committee Chair and Standard Forms Feedback Panel Chair. Finally, as a member of the Pennsylvania Leadership Team of the Council of Residential Specialists and a CRS designee, she will begin her second term as PA-CRS Membership Chair and Local Networking Group Leader for the Central Susquehanna Valley.
Rhone is a member of the NAR, PAR and Central Susquehanna Valley Board of Realtors and holds 10 professional designations and certifications: ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), CRB (Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager), GRI (Graduate Realtors Institute), e-PRO (Internet Professional), SRS (Seller Representative Specialist), SFR (Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource), PSA (Pricing Strategy Advisor), MRP (Military Relocation Professional), and AHWD (One America At Home With Diversity).
Rhone is heavily involved in the Realtor organization at all levels and feels it is important to give back to the industry that has given her so much. She is the daughter of Alice and Charles Beltz and the late Charles Bauman. She is married to Rick Rhone, and they have two daughters and five grandchildren.
