Bloomsburg Realtor, Dorothy B. “Dot” Rhone was installed as the District 5 Vice President of the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors at a ceremony recently in Harrisburg.  This is the second year of her term.  Her responsibilities include visiting local associations in her district and sharing information with their members to help bridge the communication gap between the state and local associations in the Realtor family.  Topics of importance are legislative issues affecting the industry, political advocacy, standard forms, educational opportunities and events, and she also assists with their needs, and installs their association officers as well as inducts new members.

Rhone, a Realtor for 30 years, is a Broker/Owner of Century 21 Covered Bridges Realty, Inc. She has served several terms on PAR’s Board of Directors and has been active on the following committees:  Professional Standards, Strategic Oversight, Executive, Standard Forms Feedback Panel and Standard Forms Oversight Committee, currently serving as Vice Chair of Standard Forms Oversight Committee for 2016.

At her local association, the Central Susquehanna Valley Board of Realtors, she has been active on these committees:   RPAC, Professional Standards, Education, Long Range Planning, and New Member Orientation, where she continues to serve as Chairman.  She received an Outstanding Service Award in 1998 and was named “Realtor of the Year” in 1999.  She was named “Best of the Best” real estate agent by the Press Enterprise readers as was her company.  Her experience proves that the more involved she is in the Realtor organization, the better prepared she is to provide outstanding quality service to her clients. company.  Rhone continues to be one of the most highly respected and successful agents in her marketplace, and enjoys working for her clients to help make their real estate dreams come true,  as well as training and mentoring the agents at Century 21 Covered Bridges Realty, Inc.

A graduate of Bloomsburg State College (now Bloomsburg University), she is a Certified NAR Code of Ethics Instructor and holds the Certified Residential Specialist, Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager, Accredited Buyer Representative, Graduate Realtors Institute, e-PRO Internet Professional, Seller Representative Specialist, Short Sales and Foreclosures Resource, and At Home With Diversity Designations and Certifications.  

Rhone is a Bloomsburg native, daughter of Alice and Charles Beltz and the late Charles Bauman.  She is married to husband, Rick, and they have two grown daughters, Carey Smith and Courtney Rhone, and four grandchildren.
